PURPOSE: A monomer composition for a highly absorbent resin is provided to maintain a stable solved state until the polymerization of the composition, thereby being capable of manufacturing a highly absorbent resin with excellent physical properties. CONSTITUTION: A monomer composition for a highly absorbent resin comprises an acrylic acid-containing water-soluble ethylene-based unsaturated compound, an alkali salt thereof, or a monomer of the mixture thereof and a water-based solvent. The monomer composition satisfies formula 1: y (weight%) 52.386*x - 88.271*x - 24.381*x + 98.695 at 25deg. C or more. In formula 1, x is the weight fraction of an alkali salt of the unsaturated compound in the total weight of the monomer in the composition and is a real number of 0.40 x 1.00; and y is a weight% of the monomer in the composition.
