PURPOSE: A method for processing a multichannel audio signal into a frequency area WM(WaterMark) in real time and a device thereof are provided to optimize a compromise between the security and robustness of a WM.;CONSTITUTION: A device starts a timer(31). The device selects a first channel of an audio channel priority list for a section or an current audio signal block(32). The device reads a current timer value(33). If time for processing the next channel of the audio channel priority list into a WM is sufficient, the device watermarks a current audio channel 'm' of the list(34,35).
