NAVIGATION MAP INFORMATION UPGRADE METHOD USING A MOBILE ROUTER CAPABLE OF EASILY UPGRADING MAP INFORMATION

PURPOSE: A navigation map information upgrade method is provided to prevent restriction and inconvenience according to movement without an additional apparatus in case of map information upgrade. CONSTITUTION: If an access application is touched in a plurality of icons displayed on a screen, a navigation application confirms URL(Uniform Resource Locator) information of an upgrade server while operating the access application. The navigation application attempts access to the upgrade server through the communication channel between the navigation application and a mobile router. The upgrade server allows access by confirming identification information transmitted from the navigation application. The navigation application downloads map information from the upgrade server. If the navigation application confirms the completion of the download, the upgrade server displays the upgraded map version or map information.
