PURPOSE: A continuous circulation type sand filter and a continuous circulation type sand filtration method are provided to prevent transferring water from disturbing the separation of sand and foreign materials, and to minimize the generation amount of sand washing water.;CONSTITUTION: A continuous circulation type sand filter includes a filtering container, an inlet pipe(21), a processing water discharging unit(22), an air lift pipe(37), a transferring water discharging filter(40), a lowering guide pipe(41), and a foreign material separation pipe(42). A sand filtration layer fills the inside of the filtering container. Raw water flows into the filtering container through the inlet pipe. The processing water discharging unit discharges purified processing water obtained by passing the raw water through the sand filtration layer. The air lift pipe transfers contaminated sand from the lower side of the filtration layer to the upper side of the filtering container.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
