PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a Pb-free piezoelectric (Na0.5+χK0.5-χ)(Nb0.55Ta0.45)O3 ceramic composition is provided to obtain a sintered material with 95% of apparent density.;CONSTITUTION: A Pb-free piezoelectric (Na0.5+χK0.5-χ)(Nb0.55Ta0.45)O3 ceramic composition contains a composition of (Na0.5+xK0.5-x)(Nb0.55Ta0.45)O3 as a main ingredient (x is greater than 0 and is less than 0.05). A method for manufacturing the ceramic composition comprises: a step of milling Na2CO3, K2CO3, Nb2O5, and Ta2O5 powder using anhydrous ethanol; a step of drying the powder in an oven at 90-110 deg. C and calcining at 800 deg. C for 5 hours; a step of repeating milling and drying and secondarily calcining at 850 deg. C for 5 hours; a step of performing wet-milling the calcinated powder and drying; a step of mixing the powder with 0.5 wt% of a polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) binder and sieving; and a step of molding and sintering at 1150-1250 deg.
