PURPOSE: A rainwater reservoir of a building and a method of use thereof are provided to prevent inflow of contaminant by collecting water in the top of the building and to supply the rainwater of undercurrent with non-power. CONSTITUTION: A rainwater reservoir of a building comprises a main body(110), a rainwater inlet(120), a rainwater outlet(130), and a rainwater outlet pipe(140), and a control unit(C). A rainwater undercurrent main body is installed in the upper part of the building and comprises a sensor(S) which measures water level. The rainwater outlet pipe is connected to the rainwater outlet and comprises a rainwater opening and closing valve(Vh), a main pipe(142) of the building, and an interlayer pipe(144).
