PURPOSE: A cooling system for a vehicle and a control method thereof are provided to properly control the flow of coolant in response to the running and the environmental conditions of the vehicle, thereby optimizing cooling efficiency, and improving fuel efficiency. The cooling efficiency can be optimized and the continued ratio can be improved.;CONSTITUTION: A cooling system for a vehicle includes a water pump(10), a valve(40), an engine control unit(50). Coolant passes through an engine by the water pump. The water pump circulates the coolant, which passes through the engine, through each circulation path. The valve controls the flow of the coolant, which passes through the circulation path, by an external control. The engine control unit responds to information for the state of a blower fan among vehicle information provided from outside. The engine control unit controls the valve in order to run the coolant flowing into the valve to the circulation path, or block the flow of the coolant.
