PURPOSE: A portable communication terminal including a network switching function for safe mobile communication and a switching method thereof are provided to increase reliability by enhancing the security in transmission and reception of content in the portable communication terminal using Wi-Fi.;CONSTITUTION: A cellular module(130) communicates with a cellular network providing 3G for Internet connection. A WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) module(140) communicates with a WLAN network providing Wi-Fi for Internet connection.
