PURPOSE: Silica aerogel granules and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to eliminate the need of a separate manufacturing process, apparatus, or additives, to reduce manufacturing time, and to have excellent permittivity and hydrophobicity, and low thermal conductivity.;CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of silica aerogel granules includes the following steps: a step of manufacturing silica sol; a step of mixing a dispersant with a solvent and stirring; a step of additionally adding a pH regulator and stirring; a step of putting the silica sol into the mixture and stirring; a step of washing this; a step of aging or modifying the surface; a step of washing this; and a step of drying this with atmospheric pressure. The solvent is at least one selected from a group composed of benzene, toluene, n-hexane, cyclohexane, xylene, castor oil, and silicone oil. The dispersant is at least one selected from a group composed of metallic soap, lanolin, rosin, cholesterin, lecithin, and sorbitan monoolic ester. The pH regulator is at least one selected among ammonia, pyridine, and hydrazine.
