PURPOSE: An electric fan capable of preventing fire and adjusting the length of a wire is provided to prevent fire caused by an excessive use and to prevent an electric shock accident due to a short-circuit by adjusting the length of the wire with a wire spring in the underside of the electric fan. CONSTITUTION: An electric fan capable of preventing fire and adjusting the length of a wire comprises a thermal sensor(10), a LED red light(11), a LED blue light(12), a button, and a wire spring. The thermal sensor corresponds to the upper part of a motor in the electric fan. The LED red and blue lights are joined to the top of the thermal sensor. The thermal sensor senses fire in the motor caused by an excessive use of the electric fan. The current to the electric fan is cut off when the LED blue light is changed into the LED red light. The button and the wire spring, which is joined to the underside of the electric fan, adjust the length of the wire of the electric fan.
