PURPOSE: A relative traffic information providing system and a providing method thereof are provided to offer relative moving time or relative speed to a user by comparing traffic information of the past with traffic information of the present at a particular road section.;CONSTITUTION: A traffic information collecting part collects current traffic information. The collected traffic information is stored and processed. Current position information is received from a terminal of a user. A peripheral node is searched using the current position information. Relative traffic information is calculated by comparing common traffic information with the current traffic information. The calculated relative traffic information is processed.
