PURPOSE: An automatic reception response and termination method in a portable terminal is provided to enable a user to selectively communicate with other people.;CONSTITUTION: A voice recognition unit automatically provides responses according to a response pattern based on voice recognition of specific words by listening to the voice of a caller in an automatic reception state. The voice recognition unit determines the call of a user. When the user wants to receive the call, the voice recognition unit recognizes the call intention indication voice of the user.
