PURPOSE: A heat treatment method for improving toughness, saving energy, and improving productivity with adjusting the soluble amount of the carbide of W-Mo-Cr-V based high speed tool steel soluble in a matrix and adjusting temperature for tempering is provided to secure a proper toughness and hardness with low temperature tempering not an existing high temperature tempering.;CONSTITUTION: A heat treatment method for improving toughness, saving energy, and improving productivity with adjusting the soluble amount of the carbide matrix of W-Mo-Cr-V based high speed tool steel and adjusting temperature for tempering heats at a quenching temperature lower than an existing quenching temperature in a quenching process in order to lower the amount of carbide soluble in a matrix and to lower the amount of carbon in the matrix. Through low temperature tempering not an existing high temperature tempering, a proper toughness and hardness is secured, energy is saved, and productivity is improved. The quenching process includes a step of checking whether or not material is, a step of cleaning, a step of heating in order to implement quenching-heat treatment on a cold working tool and a mold, and a step of cooling.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
