PURPOSE: A system for monitoring the contamination on a heating furnace monitoring window and a method thereof are provided to monitor a polluted state of the inside and outside of the heating furnace monitoring window on a real time basis.;CONSTITUTION: A system(100) for monitoring the contamination on a heating furnace monitoring window comprises a light source(110), a spectroscope(120), and an analyzer(130). The light source is installed in the outside of a heating furnace monitoring window(10), thereby projecting lights including long wavelengths and short wavelengths. The spectroscope is installed outside of the heating furnace monitoring window, thereby obtaining a spectral spectrum of the lights projected by the light source and reflected and calculating the intensity of the light of a short-wavelength band and a long-wavelength band. The analyzer estimates the contamination of the inside and outside of the heating furnace monitoring window by using the intensity of the light of a short-wavelength band and a long-wavelength band.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013;[Reference numerals] (130) Analyzer
