NOVEL GENE WITH A KRAB-ZINC FINGER DOMAIN IN A HORSE

PURPOSE: A novel gene with a KRAB(krueppel-associated box)-zinc finger domain in a horse is provided to improve ability of a racehorse(exercise capacity, immunity, and reproduction ability) through transcription.;CONSTITUTION: A novel gene in a horse is isolated from horse blood or muscle and contains a nucleotide sequence of sequence number 1. A nucleic acid encoding KRAP-zinc finger protein in a horse is selected from a group consisting of nucleotide acids containing a nucleotide sequence of sequence number 1. An isolated nucleic acid has a nucleotide sequence encoding a protein with 55% or more homology with an amino acid sequence of human KRAP-zinc finger protein. A polypeptide forming the KRAP-zinc finger protein or a part thereof contains an amino acid sequence of sequence number 2. A novel KRAP-zinc finger protein in a horse contains the polypeptide or a part thereof.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
