PURPOSE: A GIS(Geographic Information System) based electric power system dynamic modeling and a driving method thereof are provided to confirm the entire state of an electric power system, an individual electric system facility and each characteristic state information of the facility on a GIS.;CONSTITUTION: A GIS based electric power system dynamic modeling and visualization system(1000) includes an information acquisition unit(100), an electric power system analysis unit(200), a location determination unit(300), an electric power system facility implementation unit(400) and an information display unit(500). The information acquisition unit acquires electric power system configuration information from a power system database. The electric power system analysis unit analyzes a relation among a plurality of electric power system. The location determination unit recognizes a connection direction between electric power system facilities. The electric power system facility implementation unit implements the location determined plurality of electric power system facilities.
