PURPOSE: A wireless image communication device based on a zigbee network standard protocol and a method thereof are provided to support image communication in a zigbee network using lower power devices.;CONSTITUTION: An image transmission device(420) receives an image transmission request from a user through a button input device. When an interruption is generated, the image transmission device receives an image from an image input device. The image transmission device stores the image in a transmission buffer. When the transmission buffer stores data exceeding the capacity of the transmission buffer, the image transmission device divides the image stored in the transmission buffer into zigbee packets.
