PURPOSE: A location based service providing system using a channel and a providing method thereof are provided to selectively receive the message of a channel registered by a client by using a channel through a keyword or a tag.;CONSTITUTION: A server(200) obtains client location information. The server processes stored interest keyword data. The server transmits channel data matched with an interest keyword to a channel control unit(300). The channel control unit transmits the interest keyword data inputted by a client to the server. The channel control unit receives the channel data transmitted from the server.
