HEADSTOCK FOR A MACHINE TOOL, CAPABLE OF PREVENTING A SPRING FROM BEING DAMAGED BY PREVENTING OIL LEAKAGE TO THE SPRING

PURPOSE: A headstock for a machine tool is provided to prevent the damage of a spring, the shaking of a main shaft, and processing defects by discharging cutting oil to the outside when the internal pressure of the main shaft rises to a predetermined or higher temperature and preventing oil leakage to the spring.;CONSTITUTION: A headstock for a machine tool comprises a tool(4), bearings(7a,7b,7c,7d), a push rod(5), a spring(1), a collet(6), a separator(8), sealing devices(3a,3b), a drain flow passage(9), and a check valve(10). The collet is installed in the front end of the push rod to clamp or unclamp the pull stud bolt of the tool. The separator is installed on the outer circumference of the push rod in between the collet and spring to separate the internal space of a main shaft. A sealing device is installed on the inner and outer circumference of the separator to seal cutting oil. The drain flow passage is formed in a spindle to discharge the cutting oil filled in the front surface of the separator to the outside.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
