PURPOSE: A method for selective dealkylation of an alkyl-substituted C9+ aromatic compound is provided to selectively convert a large amount of C2+ alkyl groups into BTX (benzene, toluene, xylene) within a short time.;CONSTITUTION: A method for selective dealkylation of an alkyl-substituted C9+ aromatic compound comprises a step of making a dealkylation catalyst in a feed stream including an aromatic compound contact with at least nine carbon atoms substituted by C2+ alkyl groups.
