PURPOSE: A device for evaluating the reliability of a measuring instrument and an operating method thereof are provided to evaluate the reliability of the measurement data of the measuring instrument on a real time basis. CONSTITUTION: An operation method of a device for evaluating the reliability of a measuring instrument includes the following steps of: collecting measurement data of each measuring instrument in respect to an identical object (203); synchronizing the collected measurement data (205); analyzing patterns of the synchronized measurement data (207); determining the pattern similarity based on the pattern analysis (209); and determining whether the measurement data of a target measuring instrument is normal or not based on the determined pattern similarity (211).
