PURPOSE: A flux-cored welding wire for carbon steel and an arc welding method are provided to obtain excellent bead appearance by using the flux-cored welding wire with special composition even through the carbon steel is arc-welded by pure Ar gas shield gas.;CONSTITUTION: A flux-cored welding wire for carbon steel contains 0.02-0.15 wt.% of C, 0.30-1.50 wt.% of Si, 0.70-2.30 wt.% of Mn, 0.010-0.100 wt.% of S, 0.01-0.18 wt.% of Ti, 0.030 wt.% or less of P, 0.152 wt.% or less of Cr, and 10.0-30.0 wt.% of flux. The flux contains 0.030-0.600 wt.% of S. When S content in the flux is S_f, and S content in outer skin is S_h, it is defined as [S_f] ([S_h]+O.010).
