PURPOSE: Tag collision avoidance method and apparatus based on ALOHA recognizes tag after giving collision avoidance IDs to tags between which a collision occurs, and thereby tag collision probability is lowered. CONSTITUTION: If a collision occurs in tag recognition process in a first round, a control unit (300) allocates a tag slot ID to the collided tag and performs tag recognition process based on the collision slot ID in a second round. The control unit generates the collision slot ID as many as the number of collided slots in the first round. If multiple collision slot IDs are generated, the control unit successively performs tag recognition process on the collision slot ID. When the recognition process of the tag having a first collision slot ID is finished, the control unit masks the slot finished with recognition, and performs recognition process of the tag having the second collision slot ID.
