PURPOSE: A method of extracting a rare-earth material from a monazite is provided to obtain a rare-earth material of a high purity, and to neutralize an acid state without a separate process. CONSTITUTION: A method of extracting a rare-earth material in a monazite comprises the following steps: a rare-earth material solution is prepared by acid disassembling or alkali disassembling a monazite concentrate; a rare-earth material to extract among the rare-earth material solution is extracted by an acid solvent; an aquatic phase and an organic phase including the rare-earth material are separated by the acid solvent extraction; and an acid and an extraction object rare-earth material are absorbed in an ion-exchange resin, and a solvent among the organic phase is removed.
