PURPOSE: A flare system for an offshore platform is provided to prevent accidents caused by the backflow of dangerous substances by preventing the dangerous substances from flowing backward.;CONSTITUTION: A flare system for an offshore platform comprises a flare knock-out (KO) drum (2), a flare stack (3), an emergency water level sensor (10), an auxiliary vessel (20), and a controller. The flare KO drum stores dangerous substances discharged from an LNG storage tank therein and separates gas and liquid. The flare stack receives the separated gas from the flare KO drum and burns the gas. The emergency water level sensor is installed in the flare KO drum and detects the amount of fluid stored in the flare KO drum. The auxiliary vessel is connected to the LNG storage tank through a first supply pipe (21) and the flare stack through a second gas exhaust pipe to supply the separated gas to the flare stack.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013;[Reference numerals] (1) LNG tank
