PURPOSE: A digital image device and a control method thereof are provided to compress an external image signal into a transmission format with an image encoder included in a device body without a separate image encoder, thereby reducing material cost and prime cost.;CONSTITUTION: An image input unit (100) included in a user input device (110) receives an external image and produces a corresponding external image signal.
