PURPOSE: A method and a system for reducing excessive processing by a central processing unit (CPU) when playing a panorama video on a web page are provided to prevent a load caused by excessive processing of a CPU generated when playing a panorama video stored in a web server by using a dedicated playback program.;CONSTITUTION: A transmission/reception device transmits and receives signals and data to and from a web server, and a mass storage device stores a source video received from the transmission/reception device. A system memory is loaded with a playback program to play the panorama video. A CPU requests the execution of the playback program for the source video, which is stored in the mass storage device and into which a first through an nth scene image are merged, from the system memory.
