PURPOSE: An ultrasound system and method are provided to form turbulence information indicating the turbulence level of an object, thereby providing the convenience of users in the prediction of diseases. CONSTITUTION: An ultrasound system (100) comprises a processor (130) and an ultrasound data acquisition unit (120). The processor detects the vector information of an object by using ultrasound data corresponding to the object, and forms turbulence information which indicates the turbulence level of the object by using the detected vector information. The ultrasound data acquisition unit transmits an ultrasonic signal to a living body including the object in at least one transmission direction and receives an ultrasound beam reflected from the living body in at least one reception direction to obtain the ultrasound data.
