RECOVERY OF SILVER FROM WASTEWATER COUPLED WITH POWER GENERATION USING A MICROBIAL FUEL CELL

PURPOSE: A collection of silver metal from wastewater and an electric power generation method using a microbial fuel cell are provided to collect a silver, and to manufacture an electric power with an efficient cost by using a silver ion like a silver ion effluent as a cathode electron-receptor of a microbial fuel cell. CONSTITUTION: A collection of silver metal from wastewater and an electric power generation method using a microbial fuel cell comprise the following steps: an anode electrolyte which is ammonium hydroxide and potassium perchlorate, and a buffer solution which is 4 - (2- hydroxyethyl) -1- piperazine - ethanesulfonic acid and 4 - (2- hydroxyethyl) -1- piperazine - ethanesulfonic acid sodium salt compound are manufactured for a nutritional fluid necessary for microorganism and used; and perchlorate is used for a cathode electrolyte.
