PURPOSE: A system for removing phosphorus from sequencing batch reactor (SBR) wastewater by using an automatic control technique and a method for removing phosphorus from SBR wastewater by using the same are provided to automatically control the amount of adequate flocculant injection, thereby stably performing phosphorus removal in a wastewater treatment process. CONSTITUTION: A measurement device (51) measures the density of phosphorus contained in SBR wastewater flowing in from an SBR reaction tub and constructs measurement data. SBR wastewater, for which phosphorus density is measured, flows into a flocculation tub (50) and a flocculant stored in a flocculant storage tub is put in through a separate line. A flocculant injection pump (41) is prepared between the flocculation tub and the flocculant storage tub. An automatic control part (60) generates a control signal to control the flocculant injection pump in a way that an adequate amount of flocculant injection for each phosphorus density can be put into the flocculation tub based on the measurement data by applying an algorithm determining the adequate amount of flocculant injection.
