PURPOSE: A loosening prevention device for a wire material which is wound around a spool and a loosening prevention method thereof are provided to prevent a fed wire material from being loosened by rotating a spool to prevent the fed wire material from going back to the spool. CONSTITUTION: A loosening prevention device for a wire material wound around a spool (20) comprises a reverse roller (26), a forward rotation roller (27), and a narrow grip roller (28). The reverse rotation roller is equipped with a rotary shaft which is parallel with the rotary shaft of a spool (12), and rotated in the normal or the reverse direction of the spool by being contacted with the spool or a circular member which is rotated together with the spool. The normal rotation roller comprises a rotary shaft which is parallel with the reverse rotation roller, and rotates in the same direction as the rotational direction of the spool by being contacted with the reverse rotation roller. The narrow grip roller is equipped with the rotary shaft which is parallel with the rotary shaft of the normal rotation roller. The narrow grip roller together with the normal rotation roller grips a wire material (11) which is fed from the spool.
