PURPOSE: A scan converter capable of interpolating in real-time without distortion of directionality, an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus, and a method thereof allows implementing scan conversion in real-time by forming a look-up table for vector interpolation.;CONSTITUTION: A complex-valued signal selection part (210) selects four complex-valued signals which are adjacent to an interpolation signal. A first provisional interpolation signal generating unit (220) produces four first provisional interpolation signals by vector-interpolating with a weighted value according to a distance between the interpolation signal and each of two interpolation target signals. A second provisional interpolation signal generating unit (230) produces two second provisional interpolation signals by vector-interpolating with a weighted value according to a distance between the interpolation signal and each of two interpolation target signals. An interpolated signal generating unit (240) vector-interpolates with a weighted valued which is an average of two second provisional interpolation signals to produce an interpolation signal.
