PURPOSE: A milling tool and a milling insert are provided to facilitate the cutting condition of a cutting blade and to minimize the level of noise, thereby forming excellent chips.;CONSTITUTION: A milling tool includes a main body and a milling insert (2). The main body has a front end part, a rear end part, and a sheet (4). The main body rotates on a central axis (C1) extended between the front end part and the rear end part. The central axis and an outer skin surface (7) are concentric. The sheet is placed inside a transition part between the outer skin surface and the front end part. The milling insert is a two-sided type, and is indexable. The milling insert is restricted by a virtual cylinder being extended between two referential surfaces which are concentric with a central axis (C2).
