PURPOSE: A projection-based digital hologram display system and a method thereof are provided to visualize digital hologram data as a hologram image on a three-dimensional hologram display screen with a projection method through space buoyancy, thereby displaying the three-dimensional hologram image at the same level as the existing image display.;CONSTITUTION: A hologram synthesis part (103) receives hologram data of a fringe pattern (104) and generates a hologram array by combining the fringe pattern, a background image, and a foreground image. A hologram projection part (101) supplies a light source (105) to the generated hologram array and projects a hologram image through a wide-angle lens (106).
