IMPROVED PHARMACEUTICAL PREPARATION CONTAINING YELLOW-POPULAR BARK EXTRACT AS ACTIVE INGREDIENT

PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical preparation is provided to improve the solubility and dissolution rate of yellow poplar bark extract which is difficult to dissolve. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical preparation for treating or preventing gastric diseases is made by mixing yellow poplar bark extract, surfactant and co-solvent in a weight ratio of 1 to between 0.1 and 50 to between 0.1 and 50. The yellow poplar bark extract includes epitulipinolide and costunolide as active components. The co-solvent is one or more kinds selected from the group consisting of propylene carbonate, propylene glycol, ethanol, diethylene glycol monoethyl ether, glycofurol, polyethylene glycol, dimethyl isosorbide, and N-methylpyrrolidone.
