METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING BREAKDOWN OF GEAR NEUTRAL SENSOR

PURPOSE: A method for diagnosing the malfunction of a neutral gear sensor is provided to effectively diagnose the malfunction of the neutral gear sensor without additional components for diagnosing the malfunction of the neutral gear sensor. CONSTITUTION: A method for diagnosing the malfunction of a neutral gear sensor (100) includes the following steps of: determining a logic value of sensor signals outputted by the neutral gear sensor in a vehicle stop after starting a logic for diagnosing the malfunction of the neutral gear senor in the vehicle stop or in the middle of a vehicle travelling process; comparing the logic value and a prior logic value which is stored in advance; and generating the result of a diagnosis in respect to the existence of the malfunction of the neutral gear sensor based on the result of the comparison and outputting the result of the diagnosis.
