PURPOSE: A novel microorganism Rhizobium sp. KB10 is provided to effectively promote the growth of Botryococcus braunii and to maximize the content of oleic acid which is a high quality biodiesel component. CONSTITUTION: Rhizobium sp. KB10 (KCTC 12131BP) promotes the growth of Botryococcus braunii. A method for promoting the growth of Botryococcus braunii comprises the step of co-culturing Botryococcus braunii and Rhizobium sp. KB10. The method comprises the steps of adding 0.1-10 %(v/v) of Rhizobium sp. KB10 and co-culturing Botryococcus braunii and Rhizobium sp. KB10.
