PURPOSE: A biomarker composition for diagnosing osteoporosis and evaluating treatment effect is provided to diagnose osteoporosis and to determine treatment effect for a patient with osteoporosis at a molecular level by measuring ubiquitin-associated protein 2 (UBAP2) expression level.;CONSTITUTION: A biomarker composition for diagnosing osteoporosis and evaluating treatment effect contains UBAP2 gene. A method for screening a material causing osteoporosis comprises the steps of: treating a subject to be tested with test materials; measuring the expression level or the activation level of UBAP2 in the subject; and selecting a test material by which the expression level or the activation level of UVAP2 is increased.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
