PURPOSE: A device and a method for preventing the deflection of a pipe in a hanger performance test are provided to reduce time, expenses, and manpower required for testing the performance of a pipe supporting device by simplifying construction equipment and increasing the reliability of the construction equipment.;CONSTITUTION: A device for preventing the deflection of a pipe in a hanger performance test includes scissors-type hooks (40, 40A), a load cell (80), a length adjusting scale (70), a V-shaped connection pin hanger (60), and a U-shaped rope (50). The scissors-type hooks are arranged symmetrically around a hanger (20) by being spaced from each other and hung while surrounding a framework. The upper end portion of the load cell is connected to the scissors-type hooks. The length adjusting scale is connected to the upper and lower end portions of the load cell. The V-shaped connection pin hanger lifts a rope connection pin (P), thereby supporting the same. The U-shaped rope includes a pair of rope coupling ports on both end portions of a wire rope and includes a rewinding portion (R) on the middle portion. The rewinding portion is connected to the lower end portion of the scissors-type hooks.
