PURPOSE: A mine detecting device and a detecting method thereof are provided to improve the performance of detection by integrally forming a metal detector and a ground penetrating radar detector.;CONSTITUTION: A mine detecting device includes a metal detector, a ground penetrating radar detector, and a control unit. The metal detector includes transmission coils (14a,14b,14c,14d) and a receiving coil (12). The transmission coil generates a first detecting signal and transmits it to the basement. The receiving coil receives a first response signal to an underground utility caused by the first detecting signal. The ground penetrating radar detector includes a transmission antenna and a receiving antenna. The transmission antenna generates a second detecting signal and transmits it to the basement. The receiving antenna receives a second response signal to the underground utility caused by the second detecting signal. The control unit determines whether the underground utility is a mine or not based on the first and the second response signal and a fusion signal.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
