PURPOSE: A device and a method for adjusting the horizontality of a transferring roller are provided to prevent the torsion or the meandering of strips transferred by the transferring roller and to improve the directivity of the strips.;CONSTITUTION: A device for adjusting the horizontality of a transferring roller includes a first measuring device (10), a second measuring device (20), a first elevating device (50), and a control unit (60). The first measuring device measures a first measurement value which is the distance to the transferring roller. The second measuring device measures a second measurement value which is the distance to the transferring roller. The first elevating device elevates one end portion of the transferring unit. The second elevating device elevates the other end portion of the transferring roller. The control unit calculates the difference between the first measurement valve and a preset reference value and between the second measurement value and the preset reference value, thereby controlling the operation of the first and second elevating devices.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
