PURPOSE: A luggage security search system and a control method thereof are provided to minimize time and people required for security search.;CONSTITUTION: A transfer unit (10) transfers luggage of passengers or a transfer box storing the luggage. A photographing unit (20) is installed in the middle of the transfer unit to photograph the luggage with X ray. A classifying unit (30) classifies problem luggage from normal luggage by linearly reciprocating based on an image search result. A reinsertion unit (40) reinserts the problem luggage into the photographing unit.
