COMPRESSION SYSTEM OF MEDICAL IMAGE USING VISUALLY LOSSLESS COMPRESSION AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A medical image compression system using a visual lossless compression and a method thereof are provided to prevent loss of the diagnostic information and to obtain the medical information at a high compression rate. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit (120) stores initial learning data and an optimal compression data equation to compress medical images which are inspected and obtained from medical equipment at the optimal rate. An operational unit (130) produces the optimal compression rate of the medical images to be inspected by using the initial learning data and the equation of the optimal compression which are stored in the storage unit. A compression unit (140) compresses the medical images at the optimal compression rate which is obtained by the operational unit.
