FLOWMETER USING A CIRCULATION PIPE, WHICH CAN BE USED FOR VARIOUS SIZES OF SHIP PIPES, AND A FLOW MEASUREMENT METHOD

PURPOSE: A flowmeter using a circulation pipe and a flow measurement method are provided to reduce the manufacturing costs of the flowmeter by unifying the size of the flowmeter installed on a ship pipe.;CONSTITUTION: A flowmeter using a circulation pipe comprises a main pipe (10), branch pipes (20), electrolysis devices (40), flow measurement parts (30), and shutoff valves (50). The main pipe firstly sends ballast water into a ship. The branch pipes are connected to the main pipe and distribute the ballast water. The electrolysis devices installed on the branch pipes electrolyze the ballast water flowing into the branch pipes and sterilize the ballast water using hypochlorous acid generated during the electrolyzing process. The flow measurement parts are installed regardless of the diameters of the branch pipes and measure the flow rate of the ballast water flowing in the branch pipes. The shutoff valves shut off the flow of the ballast water to prevent the ballast water from flowing into a circulation pipe.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
