PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of glycerol carbonate is provided to be able to easily synthesize glycerol carbonate in a relatively mild reaction condition using a metal-organic framework (MOF) which is a porous inorganic coordination compound as a catalyst.;CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of glycerol carbonate comprises a step of performing a carbonylation reaction of urea and glycerol by using an MOF catalyst which is an inorganic coordination compound. The MOF which is an inorganic coordination compound is isoreticular MOF-3, which is manufactured by dissolving zinc nitrate hydrate as a metal source and 2-aminoterephthalic acid as an organic compound source in DMF, slowly adding triethylamine in order to accelerating the coupling of the organic compound and the metal, stirring the above product at a room temperature for 2 hours to obtain a product, filtering the product, washing the product enough with dichloromethane, and drying the washed product in vacuum.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
