PURPOSE: A portable device for measuring the diameter of a tree is provided to upload the data of the measured diameter of trees stored in a memory and to store the various kinds of the information of trees.;CONSTITUTION: A portable device for measuring the diameter of a tree includes a first measurement bar (100), a second measurement bar (200), a measuring device, an alarm unit, a memory (70), and a controller. The first measurement bar is horizontally arranged on a side of a tree and has the length across the lateral side of the tree. The second measurement bar is horizontally arranged on the other side of the tree, faces the first measurement bar on both sides of the tree, and has the length across the other lateral side of the tree positioned on a side opposite to the first measurement bar. The measuring device is composed of light emitting units (10a, 20a) and light receiving units (10b, 20b) measures the horizontality of the first and second measurement bars while measuring the diameter of the tree by utilizing the received lights. The alarm unit outputs sounds or emits lights when the horizontality or the diameter is measured. The memory stores the diameter of the tree measured by the measuring device.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
