PURPOSE: A method for displaying an augmented reality image and an electronic device thereof are provided for matching features in order to provide an augmented reality service in an electronic device.;CONSTITUTION: A second electronic device compares a target image with a viewpoint conversion image (401). The comparison is performed for determining matching pairs of a plurality of features of the target image and a plurality of features of the viewpoint conversion image. If the matching pairs are determined, the second electronic device displays the augmented reality image of the viewpoint conversion image (403). The second electronic device determines a photographing angle by correcting a measured photographing angle difference of the target image and the viewpoint conversion image as much as a viewpoint conversion angle of the viewpoint conversion image.
