METHOD TO MANUFACTURE CONICAL TIPS FOR BYTES IN WHICH THE LIFETIME IS EXTENDED AND THE DAMAGE AND ABRASION ARE LESS AND A BYTE IN WHICH A CONICAL TIP IS MOUNTED

PURPOSE: A method to manufacture conical tips for bytes and a byte in which a conical tip is mounted are provided to manufacture byte tips with low costs by selecting a diamond for materials of the tip and easily mounting the diamond.;CONSTITUTION: A method to manufacture conical tips for bytes comprises the following steps: putting cemented carbides metal powder in a mold to be mounted on a tip (22) of a byte (20), compressing it by a molder, and molding the conical tip by heating/sintering it under temperatures below a melting point: selecting a part of surface in a circumferential direction of the conical tip and forming a groove by cutting the selected surface; grinding the groove of the conical tip; settling a diamond for the cutting in a shape corresponding to the groove formed on the circumferential surface of the conical tip and mounting the diamond in the groove of the conical tip by the brazing and welding; and manufacturing the conical tip by grinding the surface along the circumferential direction of the conical tip in which the diamond is settled.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
