OUTPUT VOLTAGE RIPPLE COMPENSATOR FOR A PFC CONVERTER CAPABLE OF BEING APPLIED TO A CHARGER WHICH REQUIRES HIGH POWER DENSITY AND A BATTERY CHARGER FOR AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE USING THE SAME
PURPOSE: An output voltage ripple compensator for a PFC converter and a battery charger for an electric vehicle using the same are provided to reduce the ripple voltage in the output voltage of a PFC converter while not using a high capacity electrolytic capacitor.;CONSTITUTION: The AC voltage in which the A rectifier (410) rectifies the input AC current inputted from the outside into half-waves or full-waves. A PFC convertor part (420) performs the power factor improvement for the input voltage. A DC/DC converter (430) converts the output voltage from the PFC convertor part and charges a battery for an electric vehicle. A ripple compensator (440) compensates the ripple voltage included in the output voltage from the PFC convertor part. A control unit (450) controls the on/off of a first switching device, a second switching device, and a third switching device.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
