Disclosed is a sand storage hopper for electric furnaces capable of checking sand-bag opening and sand level so as to allow checking for an amount of sand storage from outside of the electric furnace at the same time as rupturing the sand-bag. The sand-storage hopper for electric furnaces of the present invention that allows opening of a sand-bag and checking of a sand level comprises: a housing (10) with an upper end open for supply of a sand-bag (B) by being installed outside of an electric furnace (E); and a opening part (20) of rupturing the sand-bag (B) by being installed inside the housing (1); and a leveler (30) that ascends and descends inside the housing (10) depending on the extent of weight of sand supplied from the ruptured opening part (20).
